Is having Same Day Dental Implant Teeth painful?
Same Day Dental Implant treatment is carried out under local anaesthesia and so we will ensure that you will not be able to feel any pain throughout the appointment. There are no nerves in the anatomical areas where the implants will be placed, unlike when treating teeth, therefore many patients find it a lot more comfortable than other dental treatments. If patients are worried about the procedure, it can also be carried out under sedation. We will be there for you through every step of the way.
How long does Same Day Dental Implants take?
With this particular treatment option, the initial treatment can all be provided on the same day. Both the Dental Implants and the immediate replacement teeth can be fitted at the same time. The treatment would usually commence at 8.00am and can often be completed by around 2.00pm. Throughout the treatment our patients may choose to be sedated for a more relaxed and comfortable experience. By the end of the day, our patients will leave with a full arch of fixed dental implant teeth to provide a functional and aesthetic smile. Although these initial teeth are fixed in place and will still be aesthetic, they are ‘prototype teeth’, which are designed to last until the final restoration. The full integration of the dental implants and gum healing will take approximately 6 months. For this reason, the ‘final’ permanent teeth are made after 6 months. At this stage we simply replace the initial teeth with the final teeth. This is a simple appointment that does not require any further surgery.
How should you look after your full arch of dental implants?
Full arch Dental Implant teeth will look and feel very much like natural teeth. You should clean them in the same way as you clean your teeth, our hygienist will demonstrate this to you. Regular dental check-ups are important to ensure that we can keep your teeth and implants healthy.

What are dental implants?
At Infinity Dental Clinic, we use Straumann Dental Implants, known for their exceptional quality, durability, and natural look. These titanium implants anchor securely into your jawbone, providing a stable foundation for crowns, bridges, or overdentures. With the All-on-4 system, a full arch of teeth can be secured on just four implants, reducing surgery while delivering a complete, natural-looking smile.
What are implants vs dentures?
The main difference between dental implants and dentures is that implants are permanently fixed and cannot be removed. At Infinity Dental Clinic, we use Straumann Dental Implants for superior comfort and stability. Unlike dentures, implants don’t move, allowing you to eat without restriction. They are easy to maintain—simply brush them like natural teeth. Additionally, implants help preserve your jawline, preventing the changes in facial structure that can occur with tooth loss, helping you maintain a more youthful appearance.
Who can have dental implants?
Dental implants are suitable for most people, but certain conditions may affect eligibility. At Infinity Dental Clinic, we assess each patient individually to ensure the best treatment plan. Factors like radiotherapy near the jaw, diabetes, smoking, heavy drinking, drug use, or gum disease can impact suitability. Being open about your medical history helps us recommend the safest, most effective solution for you.
Will I need bone grafting for dental implants?
To securely anchor dental implants, sufficient jawbone density is required. If your bone is insufficient, a bone graft can help, with a healing period of 3 to 6 months before implant placement. This will be discussed during your consultation at Infinity Dental Clinic.
How long do dental implants take?
Dental implant surgery takes just one day to provide you with a new set of teeth. For bridges and overdentures, temporary teeth are worn until your gums heal, which can take several months. Final adjustments are made once healing is complete.
How long does it take to recover from dental implants?
Recovery from dental implant surgery typically takes about 2 weeks, with full healing taking between 3 and 6 months.
What are all on 4 dental implants?
All-on-4 dental implants use four implants to secure a full arch of teeth to the upper jaw. This technique provides a stable, permanent solution with minimal implants for maximum support.
What are all on 6 dental implants?
All-on-6 dental implants use six implants to secure a full arch of teeth to the upper jaw, providing extra stability and support compared to All-on-4 implants. This option is ideal for patients needing enhanced durability and strength for their upper jaw teeth replacement.
How long do dental implants last?
With proper care, dental implants can last 10-20 years or more. The most common issue is damage to the crowns, which can be easily replaced to extend the lifespan of your implants.
